The astronaut suit that stole the show at NIBIRU

At the special NIBIRU event on March 23rd, all eyes locked onto a single point for a good few seconds: the stage, from which, shrouded in smoke and light, an… astronaut emerged. Not just any astronaut — it was Selly himself, in a spectacular suit that brought the NIBIRU universe from online directly into reality.

Behind this memorable visual moment lies more than a well-staged entrance — it is a story of intense creative work that began just a few days before the event.

It all started with a simple but powerful idea: what if the iconic image of the NIBIRU project — an astronaut landing on a pink planet — could literally come to life in front of the audience? Selly felt the launch moment needed a visual symbol that conveyed exactly that promise: that NIBIRU is a real, immersive experience.

The first call went to stylist Iolanda Mutu. The brief was direct and light on detail: we need to turn the astronaut from the NIBIRU universe into a real, wearable, spectacular costume. From there, a race against the clock began.

Iolanda started from an initial sketch, translating the NIBIRU universe aesthetically into a contemporary design with futuristic influences. Material selection was critical: a careful combination of fabric and genuine leather, chosen to provide both structure and flexibility. The costume had to look impeccable while still allowing movement, since Selly would be walking onto a stage, interacting with the audience, and delivering a speech.

The execution, however, was the real challenge. In the final two days before the event, no fewer than six people worked simultaneously to get everything ready in time. Every detail was stitched, tested, and adjusted at a relentless pace, with the pressure of the deadline felt at every step.

For the technical elements — the helmet and accessories — the team turned to 3D printing technology, which made it possible to produce high-tech-looking components perfectly aligned with NIBIRU’s “out-of-this-world” aesthetic. The entire ensemble had to be not just visually spectacular, but functional as well.

Two fittings were needed to reach the final form: the costume was adjusted so Selly could put it on quickly and move naturally, without losing any of its visual impact.

The result? Exactly what was intended. The moment Selly appeared on stage in the astronaut suit, the audience’s reaction was immediate: a collective “wow” — the kind of reaction you cannot stage.

More than a spectacular outfit, the astronaut suit became, for a few minutes, a statement: NIBIRU is not merely a promise about the future of entertainment, but a universe already taking shape — right before our eyes.

The campaign’s hero image — the astronaut integrated into the NIBIRU universe against its distinctive pink backdrop — quickly became a visual landmark online, generating a wave of reactions and shares. The concept evolved into a recognizable piece of hype and marked yet another memorable moment in the construction of the NIBIRU universe.
