NIBIRU has surpassed 700,000 visitors in the first two weeks since opening. Traffic analysis shows that over 60% of visitors are families with children, which is why the resort is expanding its program for the little ones and preparing the Family Fest event, taking place on 3 and 4 August.
Family interest drove the expansion of the NIBIRU program
The analysis of the first two weeks of operation shows that over 60% of NIBIRU's visitors are families with children. The first conclusions are already reflected in the way the resort experience is organized.
Starting this week, NIBIRU opens its gates daily from 17:00, one hour earlier than before, so that visitors have more time for the Promenade activities ahead of the evening concerts and shows.
The program dedicated to children is expanded across all days of the week, through shows, character parades, creative workshops, games and interactive activities held on the Promenade.
The transport schedule has also been adapted to the new opening hour, to ease families' access from early in the evening and give them more time spent within the resort.
On 3 and 4 August, NIBIRU hosts Family Fest, the first event dedicated exclusively to children and parents. Held on the NIBIRU Promenade, starting at 17:00, the festival brings to the audience Gașca Zurli (4 August), Minunații & Verdinii (3 August) and Profesorii Trăsniți, alongside science experiments, giant soap bubbles, a Kids Karaoke Party, Disco Kids with DJ Fly, puppet theatre, creative workshops for children, a pizza workshop with Pizza Mafia, face painting, parades with mascots and storybook characters, the dinosaur party with Explorer Sam and Explorer Ella, bouncy castles, giant inflatable balls, water games, skill games, modelling with plasticine and kinetic sand, magic shows and surprise prizes offered by Noriel.
Beyond the children's program, NIBIRU continues to develop experiences that encourage time spent together. Initiatives such as the Great NIBIRU Picnic make the most of the resort's green spaces and confirm that the location is suited for relaxation, games and outdoor activities, complementing the offering of gastronomy, sport, culture and entertainment. On 29 July, NIBIRU marked National Anthem Day with a solemn and moving moment attended by over 25,000 people. Irina Baianț performed the anthem alongside the Representative Band of the Romanian Naval Forces and Naval Forces servicemembers, while the audience sang verse by verse, turning the NIBIRU promenade into a choir of thousands of voices. The moment was hosted by Dan Negru and added extra emotion to an evening dedicated to the national spirit.
The resort's artistic concept is coordinated by Răzvan Dincă, one of Romania's best-known show creators. Under his direction, each evening is built around its own thematic universe, in which the shows begin on the Promenade and continue on Center Stage, turning the audience into an active part of the experience. The seven concepts — Circus of Wonders, Neon Asia, Velvet Cabaret, Barrio Carnaval, Summer Disco Love, American Soul System and Worlds of NIBIRU — return weekly across the 46 days of the season and offer a different reason to come back every evening.
K-pop officially enters the NIBIRU universe (31 July – 2 August)
From today, 31 July, until 2 August, NIBIRU becomes the meeting point of the region's K-pop community with K-Pop Days, a festival hosted at NIBIRU Arena. For two nights, the audience will be able to see TAEMIN, JEON SOMI, EVERGLOW and WHIB live, in a lineup that brings together relevant artists of the current K-POP scene.
Beyond the concerts, K-Pop Days offers an experience built by fans, for fans: themed activations, immersive and interactive experiences, community-dedicated zones and content inspired by South Korean pop culture. The energy of the evenings will be completed by sets from XENITH, JADENISBORED, BUD, Yugo, Sani and Hun, while the official program also includes appearances by Tay James and DJ Fly.
NIBIRU visitors during this period will be able to discover at Bookzone a series of experiences dedicated to the K-pop universe and Korean culture: Korean writing classes, introductory Korean language lessons, K-pop quiz challenges, traditional Korean games and many other activities. Whether the audience comes for the culture, the concerts or the atmosphere, the NIBIRU K-POP Days experience is one for the whole community — dance crews such as Afterdark, 4th Division and Let’s Youth will also be invited on the main stage.
On 1 August, EVERGLOW takes the stage at 21:25, in one of the most anticipated moments of the evening, followed by TAEMIN at 22:40, the main headliner of the first night of K-Pop Days. On 2 August, the audience will see WHIB at 21:20, before the main moment of the evening, when JEON SOMI takes the stage at 22:30.
