NIBIRU and Beach, Please! draw over a quarter of the foreign tourists registered in Constanța

Over 15,000 international tourists came to Beach, Please! in 2025, out of a total of 56,044 registered in Constanța, and in 2026 NIBIRU and Beach, Please! together estimate more than 30,000 visitors from abroad.

Just a few years ago, the idea that tens of thousands of foreign tourists could come to Costinești seemed improbable. Today, a single event generates more than a quarter of all foreign tourists registered in Constanța. In 2025, Beach, Please! brought over 15,000 foreign tourists, while the total number of foreign tourists officially registered in the county was 56,044. It is one of the clearest proofs that experiences have become a growth engine for tourism on the Romanian seaside.

Costinești shows that, in today's tourism, people no longer choose just a destination. They choose concerts, festivals, communities, experiences and real reasons to travel. For a growing number of visitors, the value of a destination is given by what they can live there, not just by the proximity of the beach or the number of days spent at the sea.

In 2026, this direction enters a new stage with the launch of NIBIRU, the new entertainment resort developed in Costinești. Open daily for 46 consecutive days, NIBIRU will host hundreds of artists, festivals, concerts and experiences dedicated to different audiences. The project is built as an ecosystem of entertainment, culture, gastronomy, retail, sport and experiences for the whole family, aiming to turn time spent together into a richer and more diverse experience.

The estimate for 2026 is that NIBIRU and Beach, Please! will together attract over 30,000 international tourists. If in 2025 Beach, Please! proved that the Romanian seaside can attract an international audience through a single event, the next step is turning this interest into a phenomenon that unfolds throughout the entire summer.

The change matters because it speaks of a deeper transformation of the Romanian seaside. Costinești no longer works only as a resort dependent on the beach and on the classic traffic peaks. The resort is beginning to take shape as a destination built around experiences, in which entertainment, culture and time spent together become part of the tourism product.

NIBIRU is built on exactly this logic. The project includes a central promenade, festivals, concerts, gastronomy areas, retail, sports activities, an amusement park and spaces dedicated to families. The concept is designed to bring together in the same place young people, families with children, groups of friends and a mature audience, in a format closer to the great international summer destinations.

For families, this means access to activities that go beyond the classic model of a holiday at the sea. Children have playgrounds, attractions, educational activities and interactive experiences at their disposal, while parents find restaurants, promenade spaces, concerts and activities that can be experienced together. The project's central idea is for every family member to find something relevant to them, without the holiday being built around a single type of audience.

This approach is complemented by the project's permanent infrastructure: the promenade, restaurants and cafés, the commercial spaces, the cultural activations and the recurring experiences that work beyond the big festivals. Thus, NIBIRU is designed not only as a destination for one-off events, but as a resort active every day, throughout the entire season.

For the Romanian seaside, the stakes are higher than the success of individual events. If a single festival could bring over 15,000 foreign tourists in 2025, and NIBIRU arrives in 2026 with 46 consecutive days of activity, hundreds of artists and an infrastructure built for recurring experiences, then Costinești can become one of the clearest examples that the Romanian seaside is starting to attract an international audience not just through the beach, but through culture, entertainment and experiences for all generations.
