Romania enters the Guinness World Records™ with a new record in the Largest Serving of Chicken Wings category. LaProvincia, a Carmistin The Food Company brand, with the support of NIBIRU and Chef Jannis Alexandridis, served a record 425 kg of chicken wings, surpassing the previous world record of 297.5 kg set in New York, USA.
To set the world record, LaProvincia built a large-scale culinary experience at NIBIRU: the event table was set up for roughly 3,000 people, across more than 300 square meters. After the official validation by Guinness World Records™, the record quantity of 425 kg of chicken wings, prepared under the coordination of Chef Jannis Alexandridis, was served to the audience, making the participants part of the first world record hosted by NIBIRU.
The record was validated by Şeyda Subaşı Gemici, official Guinness World Records™ adjudicator, who confirmed that all criteria were met and handed the official certificate to the LaProvincia team.
In the first three weeks since opening, the NIBIRU resort recorded over 900,000 visits, confirming the public's interest in the new seaside entertainment destination and its ability to become a platform for large-scale experiences. Choosing NIBIRU to host a Guinness World Records™ certified project confirms this direction and demonstrates the destination's ability to bring together, in one place, brands, complex productions and tens of thousands of participants who are not just spectators, but part of the experiences built here.
For LaProvincia, a Carmistin The Food Company brand, the Guinness World Records™ title marks a new stage in its strategy of partnering with major entertainment projects and an international confirmation of a Romanian brand's ability to turn a product into a memorable experience delivered to world standards. The project, carried out with the support of NIBIRU and Chef Jannis Alexandridis, marks one of the most spectacular brand activations of this summer.
The event continues the partnership between LaProvincia and NIBIRU, which began this summer at Beach, Please!, one of the most important urban music festivals in Europe, held on the NIBIRU domain. The collaboration shows how brands can integrate memorable experiences into large-scale entertainment projects, reaching hundreds of thousands of participants and building an authentic relationship with the audience. The record celebrates one of the most beloved local culinary traditions, with the barbecue holding an important place in how Romanians choose to spend time with family and friends.
