JEON SOMI and XENITH are the new international names confirmed for K-POP Days at NIBIRU, the festival dedicated to the K-pop community, which will take place on August 1–2, 2026, at NIBIRU Arena in Costinești.
K-POP Days is one of the themed festivals hosted by NIBIRU in the summer of 2026. In addition to the major music events, the resort will host daily concerts, shows, family-friendly experiences, sports activities, restaurants and leisure areas.
These two announcements come after TAEMIN’s confirmation and further strengthen K-POP Days’ positioning as one of the most important events dedicated to K-pop culture in Central and Eastern Europe.
JEON SOMI is one of the most recognizable and influential figures of the new wave of K-pop, with an artistic journey that began in Korean music television, continued with her debut in I.O.I and was later consolidated through an international solo career. Her presence at K-POP Days speaks directly to a generation of fans who have followed K-pop’s transformation into a global cultural phenomenon beyond music, into fashion, beauty and lifestyle.
SOMI first stood out in 2016, when she ranked No. 1 on Produce 101 and later debuted in I.O.I, one of the groups that defined the new international expansion of the K-pop industry. After I.O.I, she continued her path as a solo artist, and her official debut under THEBLACKLABEL took place in 2019 with the single “Birthday,” followed by the album XOXO and the EP Game Plan, from which “Fast Forward” became one of the signature tracks of her recent career. She is one of the artists who helped normalize the idea of the solo female act in K-pop.
At the same time, XENITH brings to the festival another side of today’s K-pop culture: the intersection of fandom, club culture and viral content. He is a DJ from New York, with K-pop-heavy sets and more than 700,000 followers and 340 million views.
With a strong online presence and a creative identity built around transitions and unconventional mixes, XENITH has established himself as one of the artists taking K-pop beyond the classic concert format and translating it into a show format connected to nightlife and internet virality.
“K-POP Days is a festival we are building with real respect for the community and for the scale of this cultural phenomenon. After TAEMIN, the announcements of JEON SOMI and XENITH very clearly confirm our direction: we want to bring relevant artists to Romania, artists who truly matter for the history and present of K-pop,” said Selly.
Before these announcements, TAEMIN, a member of SHINee and one of the most influential K-pop performers of the last two decades, was confirmed as the festival’s first international artist, a name that has played a decisive role in shaping modern performance standards and has reinforced his global status through appearances on major stages, including Coachella 2026. Together, the three names shape a festival that tells a complete story about K-pop.
For Romania’s K-pop community, this series of announcements confirms the direction of a festival created for fans, but also for audiences who want to discover Korean culture in its current form. K-pop is a cultural ecosystem that influences fashion, social media, dance and the way an entire generation relates to music and identity.
K-POP Days is designed as a festival created by fans, for fans, and over two days NIBIRU will bring together live concerts, themed activations, interactive experiences, community spaces and content inspired by South Korean pop culture. The festival is part of NIBIRU’s summer 2026 calendar, within an entertainment resort developed in Costinești that includes 46 days of events.
Passes for K-POP Days are available starting at RON 499 for General Access, are nominal, non-transferable and non-refundable, and the minimum age for participation is 10 years old; minors between 10 and 15 years old must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
NIBIRU is the new entertainment resort in Costinești, open daily during the summer season and built around the idea that each day can offer a different experience. From festivals and concerts to restaurants, sports activities, cultural experiences and family programs, NIBIRU brings together different audiences, generations and communities in one place.
