NIBIRU joins Bucharest Design Festival for a summer weekend at the intersection of creative industries. Two projects built around the same creative energy and the same desire to place community and culture at the center are joining forces in a partnership that brings together two complementary worlds: entertainment and design. NIBIRU and Bucharest Design Festival are thus marking a moment that speaks about creativity as a way of exploring the world. For the first time since the project was announced, visitors will be able to step into the NIBIRU universe at BDF, during the first summer weekend, from June 5 to 7, with activations taking place in central Bucharest.
Participation in Bucharest Design Festival marks one of NIBIRU’s first public appearances since the project’s announcement and reflects one of its key development directions: collaboration with the creative industries. Beyond festivals and concerts, NIBIRU is being built as a space where design, architecture, retail, gastronomy, art and entertainment come together to shape the audience experience.
The collaboration between the two brands takes shape around the idea that creative industries deserve to be experienced by a diverse audience. That is why the activations prepared for BDF invite people to step into spaces, interact with the brands, discover products created especially for this occasion and turn each stop into a memorable experience.
For NIBIRU, Bucharest Design Festival becomes the ideal setting to continue a communication approach already built around participation and community. For Bucharest Design Festival, the partnership adds a lifestyle and entertainment dimension that naturally complements the conversation about design, aesthetics and urban culture.
The NIBIRU x Bucharest Design Festival Experience
Over the course of the three days, the public will be able to discover different activations. Instead of a classic brand presence, NIBIRU proposes a 360-degree experience that can be enjoyed in small steps: you enter, observe, participate, receive something in return and leave feeling part of the story.
The partner brands featured during this weekend, which will also be present on the seaside at NIBIRU, are PORC, KFC, Banca Transilvania, Japanos and The Fool. Visitors will be able to experience the NIBIRU universe at their locations in the Calea Victoriei, Piața Amzei and Piața Romană areas, and will have the chance to win tickets for the entire season.
Visitors will receive a NIBIRU passport, which will turn the weekend into an experience built around each stop and each partner brand, with a collectible item they will keep at the end of the route. At each location, the public can earn a stamp if they purchase the promotional product or complete the activation mechanism: at PORC, the stamp is linked to the special NIBIRU kit; at KFC, to any menu; at Banca Transilvania, to showing the BT Pay app for existing customers or, for non-customers, completing a short financial education questionnaire; at Japanos, to purchasing the pink dessert created especially for this collaboration; and at The Fool, to buying a ticket during the event period for any date available in the schedule. At the end, the passport becomes a map of the experience, and if it includes stamps from all locations, visitors win access to NIBIRU for the entire summer.
BT Headquarters Takeover
The evening will end at BT headquarters with a preview of the NIBIRU experience, transformed into a party designed especially for this unusual event space. Guests will be able to discover, right in the heart of Bucharest, the atmosphere they will also find on the seaside, in a context that completely changes expectations: a party hosted by a bank.
The moment aims to bring the NIBIRU universe closer — energy, music, socializing and summer vibes — in an urban and unexpected setting. Choosing BT headquarters adds a layer of originality to the experience, precisely because it turns a space usually associated with business into a meeting place for entertainment, creativity and community.
Creative Industries Celebration
NIBIRU and Bucharest Design Festival share a pioneering spirit and the ambition to build something unique. Both brands start from a clear goal: to give visibility to the creative industries and bring them closer to the public through formats that combine creativity and experience.
NIBIRU is not just an entertainment destination, but also a platform for creative industries, design, urban culture, retail, gastronomy and experiences. The collaboration between NIBIRU and Bucharest Design Festival speaks about an important moment for the local creative scene: projects are emerging that do not merely display creativity, but turn it into an accessible, tangible experience through which communities are built. In that sense, the partnership becomes a celebration of the creative industries, with two brands choosing to bring their audiences together around experiences created especially for them.
